Sheridan Options Mentoring Student Testimonials
My initial feedback is that I am extremely pleased with what I see so far. I am on a steep learning curve, and am having a lot of fun. I am confident that this will be the best $6,000 I have ever spent. I am recommending you to all my buddies. You have set up a really great, student-friendly experience. Casey is a real pro, and is teaching me a ton. I am also looking forward to the day when I can trade with you.

I tried over the years a few approaches to the stock market. I did not have a success.
With Dan Sheridan mentoring I learned and am learning a new approach. Dan is devoted and patient. He structured a system that allows you to learn in your pace and you have almost as long as you need to learn. Big portion of the program is for life.
If you follow what you learned and practiced, your chances of making money are high. The reasons are simple: the probabilities are on you side, you start with the right strategy, you pick the right vehicle and you make adjustments along the journey.
Dan is teaching you to follow conservative rules

Having Dan as a mentor has really opened up my eyes as to how to approach option trading. Before signing up with Dan, I really had no framework with which to apply risk management to my options trading. Thanks, to Dan, this is now firmly in place and is my number one focus when a trade is on.
Before joining the program, all the strategies (Butterflies, condors, verticals, calendars, diagonals) were just that, I had no real understanding of how or when to apply them. With Dan's guidance, this is no longer the case.
Dan teaches you how to pick candidates, assess the risk before initiating a trade and then how to manage the trade.
Dan has made a big difference to my trading.

I can not imagine a more dedicate trading mentor. Dan lives and breaths options. He is completely committed to the success of his students.
Without his help and lessons I would not be a profitable option trader in a time span of less than 6 months (for me a full time commitment to learn as much as possible).

Dan's Mentoring Program is the absolute best mentoring program I have ever seen. Dan teaches you a way of trading options that really works, and what make the program so great is that Dan truly cares about his students succeeding. The program is extremely well put together and provides all the tools a student needq to learn to trade successfully. Dan is all about the students and making them successful traders....he's never about selling the student another this or that. Dan is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet and what he teaches you about trading options is beyond fantastic.

Dan has helped me immeasurably, both in the big concepts and the nitty gritty. His program just keeps getting better and better each month and I think it's because he and his associates really care about your success and they're not just mouthing platitudes. There's nothing better out there so if you've found Dan Sheridan's Mentoring Program for options you can stop looking and join up.

I first learned of Dan Sheridan from the CBOE website. I was an Investools student, but not making any headway. I started to listen to Dan on the recommendation of one of my trading club members. From the first seminar, I was hooked. I started with his trading income series. Then I attended a live seminar in San Jose. I was stoked after that. After expiration and getting out of the rest of my trades, I started utilizing Dan's methods. I now only trade indexes and don't even look at charts! Well, maybe once in a while.
Dan is so willing to help you in any way he can. He is honest, and shows you how he does it. You can only learn by watching him do it. Minuses are few, but I'm sure many say the same thing, and that is how easily he is distracted. That said, we all love him for just the way he is!!!!

I started the program in September of 2006 having done some, but not a lot of, option trading before. Like many I found my newly acquired skills enabled me to make money rather quickly. The key for me about the mentoring program began at this point: I really only had enough knowledge to be dangerous to myself. Dan's consistent message that learning to trade options was a craft that required a lot of work has been borne out over the last number of months. I made a number of mistakes in the months that followed but the ongoing program--not just the initial formal training--but the paper traders, the forums, and the website enabled me to identify my mistakes and begin to become a craftsman. Today, almost 2.5 years after I began the program, I am consistently making money, regardless of market conditions. I am, however, still a long way from becoming an options craftsman but know that the ongoing support of Dan and the team will provide me with the tools to continue to hone my craft. This program has far, far exceeded my expectations.

I became entranced with options trading early in 2004. Books on options were read, seminars attended, and biases were formed. "Options are stocks on steroids" a seminar speaker assured us. Two years and thousands of dollars later, I began to think of options as "stocks on drugs". Like a child who learns to keep his hand off a hot stove the hard way, I retreated to the sidelines without a clue as to how to consistently make money trading options.
In the summer of 2006 I discovered Dan Sheridan through the CBOE website. Dan's pie graph showing the relative amount of income trades versus speculative trades went right to the heart of my trading dilemma, and I became a student in the mentoring program.
Learning the craft is not easy but following Dan's advice and trading strategies has set me on the road to a profitable and enjoyable trading experience.

The one thing I really like about Dan's class is that he gives very specific guidelines about what stocks are appropriate (minimum price, minimum IV, IV percentile), what other factors to consider before initiating the trade, guidelines for entry (strikes, credit, skew, etc), guidelines for adjustment, stop losses and profit taking. Every book I've seen is really just "this is what an iron condor is", but not how to trade it and how to manage it along the way. Specifics. A sort of cookbook. I'm an engineer. I'm a very logical thinker. I like rules and guidelines.
With Dan's strategies, I've achieved +8.6%, +9.2%, -3.5%, +14.5% and +10.6% returns on total investment in my first 5 months. That's 39% in 5 months and includes all of my trades, winners and losers both. These results are a testimony not only to the strategies, but to Dan's teachings in money management and risk management.

This has been the best money that I have spent in my market education. Dan has moved me to higher levels than anyone in my educational past. Today I wish I'd had Dan four years earlier. I would have spent alot less on educational costs and my trading accounts would be larger from being a profitable trader for a longer time period. The earlier you start with Dan the better your chances to being profitable sooner.
Dan's mentoring is the only educational program, that I have purchased into, that is not afraid of teaching you what to do when the market does not do what you want it to do. He is there to help you in your trading when you need it, not a week or two late if at all.

I have found that Dan's relentless focus on risk management and patience with his students is extremely valauble and non threatening. He is genuine and sincere in wanting everyone to be successful in building a business.
Nowhere else, to my knowledge, do you get this level of support, insight and assistance. Dan is not an ego driven pit trader. Dan is a genuine humble funny guy looking to share his learnings with all of us.
The best organisations use net promoter scores to value client advocacy. I am sure that Dan would score as well as some of the best love brands out there - ebay, google etc.

My current approach is a measured, calm and analytical one. I can actually look at a position and analyse the risk and reward with a reasonably certainty of its outcome. Through Dan I have learnt the importance understanding very thoroughly the risks of a position before embarking on a trade. I also have a very clear understanding of the importance of having a plan before ever putting on a trade. His approach ( as taught by him on his course) is one of taking a good look to try to ensure that the odds are in the trader's favour prior to ever putting on the position. Prior to the program I did not have an adequate understanding of the complexities of trading of any of the trading positions and certainly if I had not embarked on training with Dan I almost certainly would have made a real hash of things. After training with Dan I have also come to realize the importance of keeping things simple and manageable. He has also insisted that his students master the trading platforms of which are offered by the various brokerages. I think that undergoing training with Dan has resulted in an understanding of when to trade and what to trade as well as how to trade. His approach of explaining by actually doing ie:salvaging a trade which has gone wrong is probably the most confidence inspiring one for most traders because it illustrates very clearly that trades do go wrong and often not all is lost. The other very valuable facet of Dans approach is his insistence on the practical side of actually trading options. This coupled with backtrading, had provided me with a very valuable approach. I can now backtrade a positon prior to putting on a trade to understand the characteristics of the underlying vehicle.
Lastly I think Dan's insistence that his students start trading in small lots ie one's and two's in order to limit losses as well as to develop confidence has been the single most valuable lesson for someone like me who had very little understanding of options. If I am in doubt I deliberately approach a trade by trading small lots so that I limit my losses.

The Sheridan program teaches a variety of PROVEN option strategies. The seasoned, one-on-one coaching sessions, combined with user-friendly software provide each student with essential knowledge to trade options successfully. The community provides an added, surprising, benefit of positive re-enforcement while learning Dans' ideologies. Reviewing my personal small live trades with Dan and his coaches, along with the access of watching other students trades while they are being coached, is a unique eye opening tutorial. A genuine place to learn this business!!
Best Regards

The pluses of Dan's method where the intensive One-on-One instruction and the opportunity to Monitor other student's sessions. I would learn -something- from practically every session. The Weekly Paper Trader sessions were particularly valuable, especially when he would do a 'Summary Session'. Dan's vast experience in the Trading Pits taught me that the Market Makers weren't Out to Get Me... They were just 'minding their Store' - Taking care of their Business - and with his training, I would be able to take care of Mine.
Classes were a 'Finishing School' based upon real world experience and proven Income Generating strategies. He was a Mentor and he was a Friend

When I got started with the Sheridan Mentoring Program the only experience I had with options was reading about them in books. I had traded stocks a bit and tried to understand options trading but the process was mysterious to me. I joined up with Dan's program after seeing him on CBOE TV and then attending one of his seminars. He breaks it down so even a newbie like myself can understand it... and best of all... after a few months now, I'm making money. Yes. It does work.
I say to my friends, "Dan is like the Tony Robbins of options trading education. He makes you 'get it' and have fun while you're learning it... and best of all, you really will KNOW how to do this." His joy for what he does really comes through on all levels.
Of course, it does require a commitment of time and energy on your part to learn the material, paper trade a LOT and watch a lot of webex's. But hey, you only get back what you put in to it!
It also needs to be said that this is the BEST community of traders I've ever run across. From the mentors to the 'super students' to your fellow newbie students, everyone is patient and helpful. Joining this community will be the best decision you ever make. It certainly was for me.
See you at the top.

Unfortunately with my personal reasons,I didn't get a chance to talk to any of the Dan's mentoring program mentors. I requested Dan S and Tom N to consider me in the next available batch. But, I have been regularly watching the webinars and they are extremely useful as am able to adapt to the current market conditions. I can't even think opening positions (low prob, high probs and other spreads) every month in this volatile market if I didn't have access to the Dan's program. Dan S comes up new trading ideas/strategies from time to time. The program really motivates all levels of traders.
Dan S, Dan H, Steve, Casey, Tom, Chad and many others are great guys. I'm very glad to be a part of this great team.
I'm very positive that I'll do even better once I started interacting with Dan 1-on-1.
Thanks for giving me opportunity to share my opinion.

Dan Sheridan and Mark Fenton have dedicated themselves to make you a succesful trader. They work with you at your pace and make sure that you have a clear understanding of the trade before entering the pit with the alligators. They go through a pre-trade checklist with you to make sure you know all the risks and how you are going to handle them.It takes a while working with them before the training wheels come off your trading. Trade small, learn the craft Dan repeats over and over. If you don't listen he will shoot you in the foot with a BB gun. Dan has created a community of traders that are willing to share and help one another. It is a true measure of the teacher Dan Sheridan; that students are willing to give back. You will make a lot of new friends, but none more willing to help then Dan himself. It is the best investment you will ever make.

I noticed Dan through his initial association with the CBOE. I was intrigued but didn't do anything to follow up for about a year and a half before deciding to sign up. It was on the basis of his free webinars through the CBOE that I decided that Dan's approach, while "radical" when compared to other teaching methods I had seen advertised, made much more sense.
I traded options for about 4 years or so and mostly followed the tried-and not true methods of buying options, mostly OTM, and some limited spread trading without much formal knowledge
Dan opened my eyes to the concept of treating Options Trading as a business and shifting the focus from speculative plays to income approaches - like any business would adopt. His approach is logical and is well-based in the theory of probability.
Dan is incredibly patient and the Web-based training allows us to monitor the progress of others and to network. Dan's forceful urgings to trade small in the beginning allows for a gradual, controlled approach to learning the basics, and being able to walk before running or falling off the cliff!

Dan's enthusiasm and knowledge base for options trading makes it easy for a student to stay focused and learn this complicated subject. His mastery of the greeks is phenomenal. And his ability to explain potential trades and existing positions in terms of the greeks is a skill I could never learned on my own.

I've been trading for years. I was introduced to options in the early 80's but didn't have time to devote to them until 2005. I did some intraday futures trading but the trading hours in Europe conflicted with family life too much. I was looking for a way to trade with long time frames, with leverage and controlled risk. Options filled the bill!
I found Dan on the CBOE website and everything he said made perfect sense. I was anxious to change my trading style to a more conservative, consistent approach. Dan's guidelines and instruction are worth their weight in gold! I did an OptionEtics Masters class and while the seminar was good, you are still on your own after the seminar is over. With Dan, it's a lifetime committment. Dan says we're stuck with him for life! Dan's desire to have his students be successful really shines through. I've never met anyone in the option industry who cares so much for others. By Dan's long term committment, he ensures the best chances for his students to be successful. This is the main separator between Dan and the others. As long as you pay attention to Dan's advice and stick with it, you should be able to learn the craft of option trading.
Tom N : Hauptstuhl : Germany
Dan teaches you how to trade; not just the mechanics of how options work. I've traded options for over 7 years and have been one of Dan's students for almost 2 years and I can honestly say Sheridan Options Mentoring is the best value in option education today. I've learned more about how to successfully trade from Dan then I thought I would; I was surprised at what I didn't know. Dan has a genuine desire for his students to be successful. I know from personal experience that Dan's long term commitment to his students' success is invaluable. Anytime I've called Dan for help he was there and more than willing to help. Even thought I have never meet Dan, I think of him as a friend, not just a mentor.

I just want to say that Dan is a great individual who cares about educating his students and our success as traders in the market place. More importantly he takes a genuine interest in our learning the craft and not just making money. Many of us allow ourselves to be misguided by wanting to make a quick buck, which is the opposite of what he is trying to instill in us as students. Dan's philosophy is about learning the craft and becoming an expert, or master of our platform and trading techniques while being able to adapt to various market conditions.
Simply, Dan is a fantastic mentor and educator that you can't put a price on. We need more people in the world such as Dan who really care.
Your student...and.
All The Best,

I am a former Stock Day Trader that lost a huge amount of money. On the bright side my wife and kids are still with me. I realize that the amount of money that I lost I could have paid to get my BS in Business Admin degree again at a more prestigious university. I decided to spend the $6000 and take Dan Sheridan Mentoring Program. This was the best decision I've ever made besides marrying my wife. My perception of Dan is that he does not only teach you the skills in trading but also truly cares about you as a person. I know that I made a new friend in Dan and plan on making my Options Trading a real business with Dan's guidance. Aloha and Mahalo Randin

Even though I am in the financial services industry, and have been trading options for many years, training with Dan has taken my options knowledge and capabilities to a whole new level. The investing approach, along with the mentoring program, is absolutely the best I know of.
