Dan Sheridan is a 22-year veteran CBOE market maker who worked with the highly successful specialist firm Mercury Trading headed up by Jon and Pete Najarian. While at Mercury Trading, Dan was responsible for training most of the traders including Pete Najarian, one of the current hosts of CNBC's Fast Money. Since leaving the pit in 2004, Dan has been teaching individual traders on the techniques and methods he used every day to consistently profit in the options markets.

Dan teaches professional and retail traders through many channels in addition to his mentoring students. He hosts the weekly CBOE TV show Options safari at CBOE.com. Dan frequently does educational webinars for the CBOE and many brokers. The CBOE sponsors the popular one day “Real trading with Dan Sheridan” seminars across the country.

Mark went through the Dan's mentoring program in 2005 and it has changed his success rate and trading style in a very positive way. He looks forward to helping new students learn and grow as he has with the Sheridan system. Mark is a former stock broker, advisor representative for the largest provider of public employee retirement plans in the midwest. Mark actively trades commodity, stock and index options.

In his limited spare time, Mark enjoys training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and collecting and tasting wine. Mark received a degree in Political Science from State University of New York.

Dan has been trading options full time since he retired from his medical practice in 1994. As a former assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, Dan enjoys teaching, especially in the one-on-one setting provided by Sheridan Options Mentoring. When he is not trading or teaching, Dan enjoys skiing, sailing, biking, fishing, and hiking with his wife, Lynn.

Seth has been trading options for income full time since April 2006 when he first joined Dan Sheridan's mentoring program. Prior to that Seth served as the Chief Executive Officer for various specialty property and casualty insurance companies in both the United States and Bermuda for nearly 20 years. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1981, and received his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation in 1986. Seth lives in suburban Philadelphia and has a wife and two grown daughters. He enjoys travel, all sports and reading.

Jay has been mentoring option students for two years, first in his own mentoring business, and now with Dan Sheridan. He has been trading options since August of 2005 and trading stock both long and short since 1990 with various online brokerages. He also enjoys developing and testing new trading strategies. Prior to getting involved in options, Jay held Director-level positions at Compaq computer, and a Vice President of Strategic Alliances position at a major software company. He also wrote software for some of Wall Street's largest firms beginning in 1985. Jay's undergraduate background is in computer science and he holds a Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Jay lives in small town south of Boston Massachusetts with his wife, 2 children, and a miniature Dachshund named Woody.

Steven Chanin is our newest mentor and a long time member of the Sheridan Options Mentoring community. Steven has a varied background including teaching MBA classes at Syracuse University School of Management, Director of Financial Operations for the Ford Foundation $6B assets, the President and CEO of Imagine Digial Products and even a Feature Film Producer producing three feature length films! Steven has focused his full time energy to trading options as a business since 2001. Steven lives in sunny and warm South Florida which he's quick to remind Dan of when Chicago winters are setting in at the Sheridan home!

This web site was created and maintained by Tom Nunamaker, a retired USAF pilot who is also one of Dan's students from the July 2006 class. The web site started in Nov 2006 as a way for Tom to keep the myriad of Dan's ideas and materials in one place while Tom was a student. Other students were interested in sharing ideas, tools, files etc and site began to grow. The web site originally wasn't intended for such a large number of people but has been going to accomodate the needs of Dan's students.

Although Tom grew up near Dan in the Chicago area, Tom now lives in Germany near Ramstein Air Base, South West of Frankfurt.

John has experience with sales, marketing and technical support from various organizations. His passion for technology and for people are an excellent addition to the team.
