What is included with Sheridan Options Mentoring Program?
- An 80 page basic course syllabus with pre-recorded videos.

- Over 135 GB of recorded online videos and growing daily. You are free to download these videos to view on your own schedule. The video's include:
- Recorded one-on-one sessions of Dan and other mentors mentoring other students live! You'll learn from watching other students as Dan or his mentors go over their homework, questions and live trades and learn together.
- Recorded "Paper Traders". Each week, we normally have one or two "Paper Traders" where we discuss current trading topics. What strategies and techniques are working now. What underlying stocks/indexes are working best for specific strategies. Dedicated topics like Iron Condors and how to adjust them.
- One Year (minimum) access to our recorded "Veteran's Day". We reserve spaces on Friday's schedule for veteran students to discuss what's working for them and how they are trading. We occasionally have guest speakers to describe topics of interest, for instance, a software vendor or broker will demonstrate what they offer and will field questions about it from the students.
- Twelve (minimum) Personal One-on-one Mentoring sessions with Dan Sheridan or one of his mentorss. Dan was a CBOE pit trader for years and has over 20 years of pit trading experience. Dan's mentors come from a varied background but are all successful retail option traders. You'll start with a self-study program. Then your mentoring takes you to the next level of paper trading and starting live trading. Each step is taken at your own pace. There is no time limit!
- One Year (minimum) membership in a trading group We feel that students can help each other immensely and provide a safey net to each other. We have small trading groups that meet regularly with their own WebEx login. These weekly meetings are normally small (under ten students), recorded and made available in our video archives. As soon as you're ready to join a trading group, you can be part of a small group practicing the art of trading.
- One Year (minimum) Access to our website which includes, archived videos, private trading forums, watching other students being mentored live, weekly paper traders and many other tools and features. This access never ends once you join our family! Dan conducts many of these sessions each week!
- One Year (minimum) access to our Email and phone support. Call Dan or one of our staff if you have trading questions.
- One Year (minimum) access to our Access to our FORUMS. Our private online community of traders is STRICTLY for Dan's students. Our very active (average of 10 posts per day) and focused group helps each other learn and become better traders. It is a fantastic group of people all focused on trading options using Dan's techniques.
In addition to your personal mentoring course, you'll become part of our private trading community comprised of hundreds of Dan's current and former students. Our community is very active and very willing to help each other. You'll have a hard time finding another trading community like it. This is very important as you'll have support not only from Dan and his mentors, but from others in our "family" to help you learn and become successful. You aren't going at it alone!
Trading is a craft. Dan and his mentors will teach you how to become a good artist but you have to do your part. This program is NOT a get rich quick program. You will have to work. Don't plan on instant profits. Plan on at least six months of live trading to break even, then slowly start scaling up your trading size. You wouldn't expect to attend a 3-day seminar on flying a jet and hop in a 747 and fly 250 passengers across the ocean would you? Don't expect that learning the craft of trading options will come overnight. Two main keys to success are:
- Keep your trades small. If you can't successfully trade a $5,000 portfolio, what makes you think you can trade a $50,000 portfolio? Staying small for the first six months let's you survive your beginner mistakes and live to trade another day.
- Be persistent. If you put a spread on and lose money two times, does that mean the strategy doesn't work? NO! You just haven't done enough of them. The strategies we use DO WORK, but you have to have the patience to learn them and trade them in your account with LIVE TRADES! Paper Trades are good for learning the mechanics but you really only learn the craft by putting on live trades.
If you're new to options, don't worry. Our Course Syllabus starts you out at the beginning. You'll have reading assignments, homework and assessments by our mentors to make sure you really understand the basics before you move on to more difficult subjects.
We don't try to pick stock or market direction. These are non-directional trading strategies (for the most part). You are like an insurance company selling a decaying asset. The odds are in your favor from the beginning. The key to success is how you manage the risk!
Risk Management is the primary focus of our mentoring program. You will have a trading plan for each trade you do. When you enter, when to exit, when to make an adjustment and what your risk management steps are for each trade. We don't sell naked options. The strategies we teach are the same that everyeone else teaches. The difference is, we show you how to manage the risk with your trades and choose trades that produce consisent monthly income.
This is a success and goal oriented program. We want you to succeed. The best compliment for us is if all of our students are still trading options 20 years from now! We want one of those students to be YOU!
